Close to half of all older adults worry about possibly developing memory loss and dementia, according to the University of Michigan’s National Poll on Healthy Aging. With more than 1000 people surveyed, three-quarters of them try to strengthen their mental acuity and try to prevent mental deterioration by playing brain-teasing games and puzzles, taking vitamins and supplements.

Research shows that CBD should possibly be one of those supplements.

A consumer education program developed with funding from the National Institute on Aging, Dementia Care Central lists the dementia-related conditions that may be helped by CBD. Those include Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, and vascular and frontotemporal dementia. CBD is not only neuroprotective, but it also facilitates neurogenesis, the creation of NEW brain cells. This may prevent mental deterioration and promote brain health. CBD may also reduce brain inflammation to help relax and open blood vessels for improved circulation and lower blood pressure.

According to www.medicalnewstoday, CBD may help relieve symptoms health experts associate with Alzheimer’s disease, such as anxiety, inflammation, agitation, discomfort, and difficulty sleeping.
